IBM‘s first ever TikTok campaign.

In August 2021 IBM’s contract with Apple ran out - meaning their weather app was no longer the default weather predictor on iPhones.

This meant they had to advertise for the first time ever.

Now they had to appear interesting; radar graphics and repetitive data visualisations wouldn’t cut it for the young Social audience they wanted to target.

So we swapped data for trick shots, reimagining their official claim: “The World’s Most Accurate Forecaster” in a way that didn’t bore people to death.

The Results:

The Weather Channel = STILL the number one downloaded weather app in the US
